Get the Basics Down — Then Kick It Up a Notch
Get the basics of bootfitting down in the Associates program —and then kick it up a notch with a second day of intensive skills-building. After completing the Associates program on day one, Plus candidates spend the following morning in a concentrated hands-on custom footbed lab session that will give them the expertise and confidence to jump right into the footbed fray.
In the afternoon, Associate Plus attendees have the choice of attending exciting skills-development breakout sessions on a variety of topics including:
- Biomechanics and Movement for General Sports Balance
- Advanced Shell Modifications
- Advanced Liner Modifications
- Stance Balancing for Alpine Skiing
- The Business of Bootfitting
- Tactics for Creating Successful Add-On Sales
- Advanced Assessment Techniques
- Focused Footbeds (advanced techniques with one-on-one feedback)
- Snowboard-Specific Bootfitting Techniques
- Boot Sole Planing and Application of Lifter Plates
The Associate Plus is ideal for attendees who want to develop insole fabrication and grinding skills but aren’t versed in the biomechanics necessary to study the Master’s curriculum. It also gives those attendees who need to “wait for their ride” to finish day two of the Master’s Course to put their time to productive use.
